BYD has gotta be absolutely loving this. Biden's IRA gave US and Canadian automakers a fighting chance to survive and maybe thrive globally, but the likely outcome now is an isolated US market of expensive, low-quality ICEs surrounded by a world of cheap and reliable Chinese EVs
Canada should seriously be thinking about opening up to Chinese EVs and smartphones etc. in a cautious way, but it's an option we should be thinking about.
