The denial of airborne spread by the medical world, public health authorities & govts is benighted. But as professor @jljcolorado.bsky.social has pointed out, if these viruses are spread by dirty hands it's your fault; if they're in the air, liability rests with the govt, building owners etc. So...
In the 1800s, germ theory was discovered, revolutionizing medical science.

In the 21st century, the effects of airborne particles are even more apparent.

This explains why, during a press conference, someone shushed the head of the WHO in the early days when he said ‘it’s airborne’, and he had to quickly cover with ‘it’s airborne in the military sense’ (?!)

Related- COVID has generated a mass disabling event. The last time we saw this in the US was HIV/AIDS. Before that, polio.
Consider that everyone online seems to be disabled b/c society has shut us out of IRL spaces and made the world inaccessible and dangerous for us so we have flocked to find community with each other online. Now y’all wanna shut us out of here too? Isolation is the only life you’ll allow us to have?
I see a lot of people bemoaning on social media that ‘everyone seems to have/wants to have a disability’ and I just want you to know that scrolling past is a possibility. We can’t put all the disabled and sick people in institutions and jails just to make you comfortable now, boo-boo
