Duffy changed his wife's flight to make sure she avoided Newark Airport.

Then went on a podcast yesterday and told everyone it's safe to fly from there.

These people are as evil as they are incompetent.

THREAD: We’ve reported that Veterans Affairs officials have warned that Trump’s cuts are hurting veterans.

VA Secretary Doug Collins called our story a “false narrative,” but did not say anything was inaccurate.

condemning many to death? isn’t that hyperbolic?

it isn’t!

the gop bill would cut over $700 billion in health coverage. with $700 billion less, 8 million people will lose their insurance. some of those people won’t be able to pay out of pocket. some of them will die because they can’t afford care.
in 2009 and 2010, a lot of dems voted for the aca knowing they’d lose their jobs because it, but willing to do so because it meant giving millions of people health insurance

soon, we’ll see if republicans are willing to lose their seats to kick millions off their insurance and condemn many to death

They cut daycare subsidies while restricting access to abortion & birth control.

Coercing at every step women into pregnancy & birth & permanently diminishing their lifetime earning potential so they're bound to men.

And let's not forget their goal to eliminate no-fault divorce.

In a move that raises very serious First Amendment issues, ICE executed a major splashy operation in California aiming to arrest a guy for posting fliers with names, pictures, and apparent phone numbers for ICE HSI agents.

I am struggling to think what possible law posting that info could violate.

Trump’s DOJ just defied a Supreme Court order to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia—wrongfully deported, now missing in El Salvador. This isn’t a delay. It’s open defiance. If the Court backs down, the rule of law dies with him. This is the moment. Act—or surrender democracy.

Under the House GOP’s budget plan, the lowest-income taxpayers would see a LOSS of $1,125.

The richest 0.1 percent of taxpayers, on the other hand, would see a more than $180,000 GAIN.

This is trickle down economics on steroids.

Libby Cantrell of Pimco explained that because money for fed agencies is mandated by Congress, any cuts made to those agencies — the kind that are being done by DOGE — isn’t returned to the general treasury. Instead, it has to go into each agencies’ checking account for 5 years. 1/2 #EconSky
