I guess Mike Johnson’s latest excuse to block a vote on releasing the Epstein files is now over.
Will he come up with a new one or are we finally going to see where each House Republican stands on this?

This (and you know what we mean) is really disappointing. Still looking at the fine print, but in the meantime, the optics are terrible. Maybe our Senator needs to hand the leadership reins over to someone like Brian Schatz.

I'd like for someone in the dem caucus to tell us which senators were real no votes and which ones voted no because they were allowed to.

A promised vote on the ACA? See, they can’t include the ACA without having to bring the House back into session - and they’d have to swear in Grijalva. That’s what this is all about. Protecting the Epstein files.
Paywalled...here's the full text such as it is for now.
We'll see if Axios is full of shit again or not.

FWIW, this deal isn’t finalized yet.
If you want Democrats to keep fighting, call your Senator.
The vote to advance the bill will likely succeed, but all that does is tee up a final up/down vote.

I've looked at all the details of this deal to end the shutdown reached by a small group of Senate Democrats. I've talked to a number of friends on the Hill to see if there's anything I'm missing. Sadly, I am not.
This is a shit deal. It's a betrayal. It's cowardice.

Democrats would do well to remember that trusting a party defined by deceit and bad faith isn’t just naïve, it’s dangerous to democracy itself.

If I were @schumer.senate.gov, I would not agree to help Republicans fund this regime on the "promise" of an ACA vote at a later date. It didn't work the last time when they promised to fund DC. It won't work this time either. The House won't touch it.

So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?

Trump lies as he breathes, and his lying works bcuz way too many people don’t care that he lies. But his lies about the economy won’t work bcuz people LIVE the economy. People know how much groceries cost. They know if they have a job or not. People will care when he lies about the economy.

Shapiro: He rose to some prominence by writing a book about growing up in Appalachia, where there are a whole lot of people who get SNAP. He made millions of dollars off telling their stories, and then he turned his damn back on those very people he likes to write about and claim as his own.

SPECIAL ELECTION ALERT:
We have one shot to flip a seat by year’s end for Tennessee's 7th congressional district.
If we win on December 2nd, Republicans lose a House seat, and 2026 shifts completely. Let’s support Aftyn Behn @aftynbehn.bsky.social and keep the momentum going. 🔄

AOC has been totally impressive from the moment she got to Congress.
PHILLIP: Republicans are saying that Chuck Schumer is afraid of you. Is he?
AOC: I don't think so. Sen. Schumer and I have worked together. I think Republicans are afraid of me and they project their fear onto him. So they're just telling on themselves when they say that.

Today should be a day where all Democrats celebrate our big tent. Moderate Dems won big in statewide races across the country, while Progressive Dems racked up huge victories in cities. All parts of the party won. That's our superpower and we should remember that when we all vote, we all win.
