CMS administers the Home and Community Based Service Waiver programs that provide seniors with support to stay in their homes rather than nursing facilities and ensure people (including children) with disabilities have access to long term care in their communities rather than institutions.
CMS is a real job. Maybe a TV host can pretend to do some mid-tier cabinet position while a deputy does the real work. CMS is a technocratic job responsible for 6,000 employees, complicated billing policy, HIPAA, etc.
