So I joined AARP on a whim a few months ago because it was like $50 for five years or something like that, and I was able to get like $200 off a set of tires with the discount.

Anyways. I know we ask concerning questions about the youths, but what about our elders?

Breaking news: ABC takes Jimmy Kimmel off the air after backlash over remarks on Charlie Kirk’s death.

A network spokesperson did not comment beyond saying that the show will be preempted “indefinitely.”

Chili's just served me their skillet queso in a bowl. I'm so offended. I at least want the illusion that it isn't simply a reheated cheese food product with a can of chili.

I flippantly told a close friend over the phone that the shooter's motive(s), just like a lot of violence in general, is going to be a muddied mess that doesn't fit a nice narrative.

A cursory glance looks like this is right-wing on right-wing gang violence.

True. But it's okay to eat one of these every now and then. Just eat your veggies so you poop more than once a week.
If the composition of the char on a grilled hot dog were listed in the ingredients, it would be illegal to sell because of high levels of nitrosamines and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons which are both banned as carcinogens in the EU and US.

Weird!

I'm convinced Trump has dementia. DC was a crime hotspot in the 80s and 90s for several reasons, by the DC metro area as a whole isn't much different than Dallas or Atlanta.

If I had a nickel for every time a presidential criminal interjected themselves into the operations of the Bureau of Labor and Statistics out of political paranoia, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot. But it's weird that it happened twice.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) released a climate report that aims to cast doubt on the severity of climate change.

Prominent climate scientists who are cited in it say their work was distorted or misused.

“This isn’t science—it’s propaganda,” says climate expert Ben Santer.

Walmart, Amazon, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and FedEx typically top the list in most jurisdictions. Fast food franchisees like McDonalds and Burger King are also contenders.

Men and women who have never smelled the aroma of sintered human flesh or tasted the sandy Arabian air will stand before cameras, lecterns, and microphones today to justify the blood sacrifice of American sons and daughters to appease the ego of a deflated, dilapidated, and weak president.

Cursing is rather boring, no?

Back in the 19th century, if an abolitionist wanted to get under the skin of a "proper" Southerner, they would label slave owners as sex addicts.

I vote for developing some equivalent modern version of that salicious language that has some modicum of truth like above.
I honestly think it’s time for some Dems to start dropping f-bombs. On national television. Let’s start acting like the crisis this is

Something that's been knocking around my noggin but isn't fully fleshed out is the notion that it isn't "illegal aliens are here" but "illegal aliens suppress wages due to intentional actions by employers" that probably concern most reasonable citizens.
While Trump blusters about "law & order," a reminder that his administration has dropped or halted nearly 150 corporate enforcement actions.

And Trump himself has pardoned dozens of his supporters convicted of crimes like money laundering and bribery.

The hypocrisy is staggering.

Has anyone just been vibing and then a (drunken) stranger just rocks your perspective so hard with one innocuous question that you feel like you won't be able to sleep for a minute, or is it just me putting the finger down on this one?

The best outcome would be a Musk/Tech centered third party that fractures the GOP voterbase and lead to a Dem majority that fixes some of the brokenness in Congress (re: to repair the electoral college, we need to course correct our Congressional apportionment to where 1 person = 1 vote)

It's 2025. We have a plethora of peer nations with different approaches to state-provided healthcare. It's absolutely pathetic to keep wanting only employer-proivded solutions.
Lankford: "People are screaming & saying, 'It's kicking people off Medicaid.' It's not kicking people off Medicaid. It's transitioning from Medicaid to employer-provided healthcare. So yes, we've got 10 mil ppl that are not gonna be on Medicaid, but they are gonna be on employer-provided healthcare"

No reasonable person would look at Aldi products and think they are Nabisco products.
Mondelez International, a corporate giant behind the name-brand versions of many snacks, filed a lawsuit last month against the U.S. branch of the German supermarket chain Aldi over what it says is Aldi’s look-alike product packaging.
