And my science fair projects centered around ants. The one I remember most was the impact of different artificial sweeteners on trophallaxis.

Looking back, it was probably an unhealthy amount of time for watching ants feed each other.

In seventh grade, we did our first "research paper" (citations and proper grammar!), and mine was about ants.

I did two social studies fairs about ants: ants as model sustainable farmers and a comparison between various ant societies and human society.

Ants!

Everyone remembers playing the Oregon Trail game, but at my school we played other edutainment games, too. SimAnt was one of them, so I went through a phase of becoming a resident expert of all things ant. Even had a few colonies.

I wouldn't make a strong claim in the original meme about teachers or other practitioners in education. I would apply it to policymakers, like legislatures and other elected officials.

The headline might be misleading. I haven't read the article because of the paywall, but that TikToker was using Calico Critters to endorse various brands. Using their IP to endorse brands and get marketing money is the line crossed, not the simple short content.

In my twenties, I spent about five years in Central Illinois for school and work. About once a month I would take the train north to Chicago. I ate a lot of deep dish pizza. On such trip, I intentionally went to rendezvous with my late father to eat at Mulnati's while he was in town on business.
