It would just take a couple of Republican congressional representatives to find their spines and moral cores, join the democratic party, save the nation, and become heroes.

This is a war on millennials.
In case entering the workforce during a recession, losing leadership opportunities in a pandemic, continuing to be held down by student debt and unprecedented inflation, and a climate catastrophe hadn’t done enough for us.
Ranger Brian, who was fired and wrote a viral Facebook post about it 👇, is an icon of the new pro-democracy coalition.

His story illustrates the radical cruelty of the regime and the lost hopes of our generation.

Let’s be clear: this is also a war on Millennials.

“The reason we face the worst is because it helps us imagine the best.” What a fantastic, hopeful read. Treat yourself to this, and then spread it around.
I wrote about the worst people in the world, charting the depths of their depravity and vastness of their incompetence, and offered some thoughts about the opportunity presented by their failure to acknowledge reality and their refusal to access any form of human virtue.

IF the tariffs go through...

this is a massive opportunity for the pro-democracy coalition.

mobilization will need to happen outside the DNC as they are pretty anemic right now.

BUT--this will affect a lot lower-class families & younger workers 😔. Let's remember this is not a political game!

If I were Canadian PM I would immediately:

1. Create a new $15B science fund

2. Offer any credentialed US scientist funding for lab startup and replacement of NIH grants if they move to Canada

3. Immediate permanent residency

4. Citizenship after 2 years

Overnight a science superpower

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

Normalize acknowledging the handbasket we’re in. In all conversations every day. Verbalize what others want to deny until denial is stripped of its power.

Does your city have a climate working group for citizens? A network? Shared website? Shared folders? Grief group! How is your community (city or org) mobilizing? How are you mobilizing and how can I join or support you?

I posted on the morning of Trump's inauguration that I thought it was unlikely he could dismantle democracy in one term.

With all the goofy decisions of the past two days, I think it's even less likely.

If the experts aren’t doing what seems to be the obvious fix, why do we assume we know more than the expert, rather than assume they know something we don’t?

Normalize, “I don’t know enough about that to have an opinion” and “I’d like to learn more before I make up my mind about that.”

Not all opinions are created equal.
