Next up: multistate organizations to mirror the functions of the former NIH, CDC, and FDA that can review newly developed vaccines and treatments.
Important: Gavin Newsom just announced that California, Oregon, Hawaii and Washington State released unified west coast vaccine recommendations expressly designed to counterprogram Trump/RFK's destruction of our public health system.

This will gain momentum in blue states (see thread below).

What the Supreme Court majority did today was endorse ethnic cleansing as legal in the United States.

Someone in the mainstream media better fucking say that. That is what it is.

#NIH is hanging by a thread. The #CDC has been decimated. #RFK Jr. and Russell #Vought are psychopaths--I don't say this frivolously--they are cold, calculating, inflicting violence on millions through public policy. It is where we are right now. These men are not normal. 1/

There are two organizations that I care most deeply about: Stanford University, where I grew up, went to college, learned to do science, and met my wife; and NIH, where is spent the most satisfying years of my professional life.

Bhattacharya has managed to become an embarrassment to both.

This is oligarchy. This is obscene.

While 60% live paycheck to paycheck & kids go hungry, Jeff Bezos, worth $230 billion, goes to Venice on his $500 million yacht for a $20 million wedding & spends $5 million on a ring while his real tax rate is just 1.1%.

End this oligarchy.

Judge Young's order has come in. Grant terminations in the plaintiff states or to the plaintiff orgs (APHA, UAW) are officially void and illegal.

It also says that the "Challenged Directives" are arbitrary and capricious — and thus illegal as well.

Now what exactly are are these directives? 🧵

Because on this record anyway, I don't see anyone pushing back against it.

Take a look at the people who have been named as defendants here. One of them is a cabinet-level officer. The other is not the same individual, but is now the director of the National Institutes of Health [Jay Bhattacharya].

Plaintiffs have uploaded a list of 848 (of the ~2400 total terminated) they say are covered because they're to institutions in the states aforementioned or a part of APHA/UAW.

The judge must approve the list first.
