Today is the 3rd anniversary of my mother's passing, and I'm still wrestling with grief. I have more good days than bad ones, but I'm still in disbelief that I lost the person who loved me the most in this world.

🚨Report your NSF grant terminations! 🚨

We are starting to collect information on NSF grant terminations to create a shared resource as we have for NIH. The more information we collect, the more we can organize, advocate, and fight back! Please share widely!

But it also provided a resource for some of the most important methods development in modern biostatistics & epidemiology. E.g. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18854702/

NEW: The NIH has begun terminating grants for active projects studying gender identity, DEI, environmental justice, climate change, among other topics.

At least 16 termination letters have already been sent — and hundreds more are coming, people inside NIH tell me.

Again: This is authoritarianism, plain and simple. Scientific grants that already underwent a thorough peer review process and were among the top few selected for funding are being revoked for political reasons.

If promoting #ScienceForAll is controversial, then something is wrong with our society, right?

Am I missing something? Shouldn't we be pursuing knowledge about how diseases work and impact people? Or is that idea controversial? There's nothing partisan about that.
