Inflammation produces stress signals. A western diet (high omega6 + refined sugars) produces chronic low grade inflammation. I am of the opinion that every American should be taking a daily aspirin, regardless of age.

It's becoming clear that histamines(and inflammation generally) are involved in far more processes than we thought.
e.g. Tylenol blunts emotional as well as physical pain, and antihistamines are being used in conjunction with therapy for PTSD.

All I'm shooting for is a stable, healthy weight instead of adding 5 lbs every year. What I have settled on (mostly due to accident) is restricting all meals to an 8hr window each day. For me, that's usually noon-8pm.

I am in the unusual position of feeling like you are underestimating how political the situation was. Rather than simply progress for profit's sake, mechanization was explicitly class warfare to seize the means of production and destroy a base of social power.
