I started Outline October with an idea in mind. A good idea. A lovely Regency. I did a ton of research. Then Pandora started playing sea shanties. I started brainstorming a fantasy pirate adventure. Now, I have twenty-five chapters of a fantasy about witches done. Writing is weird.

I am at the vet’s office with typhoid Auggie and the school next store is either on recess or having gym class outside. The kids are LOUD. Chanting, screaming, laughing. I can hear them through my truck’s closed windows. It is glorious. #joy #play #rememberjoy

Being a person with autism has not been easy but the reason it hasn't been easy- is because non-autistic people are not taught how to interact with autistic people. Autistic people are expected to socially mask & neurotypicals generally don't have even a base idea of how autistic people communicate.
