Well, you can’t win ‘em all with the ferries. Missed mine by 5 minutes. I had anticipated this happening due to long weekend traffic and an accident causing a major slowdown, but still. At least it’s a nice evening and I have time for dinner.

Second summer break is coming up for me in a few days, and I went to a thrift store in search of cheap used books. Came away with 4, which was much better than anticipated. Hooray for vacation reads!

Picked up some delicious pastries for breakfast and did some laundry, but otherwise have spent the rest of the day reading and napping in my back yard. Bliss! ❤️

My brother did not ask me to do this, nor did he know I was going to, but I made him a mashed potato volcano for his birthday.
The number of potatoes this required was shocking but otherwise it was relatively simple to do. A side effect is a freezer full of leftover mashed potatoes.

Went to the berry farm in my neighbourhood this AM right as it opened, as that place becomes an absolute madhouse in the summers. Picked up a few flats of pre-picked berries and other treats, and hightailed it outta there as soon as I could. (1/2)

A few years ago at around this exact same time of year, I broke my pinky toe by accidentally slamming it into the edge of my bed. GUESS WHAT I JUST DID?! Thank the lord it appears not to be broken again, but OUCH. And that's gonna be another nasty bruise. I am such an idiot! 🤣😫😭

A few years ago at around this exact same time of year, I broke my pinky toe by accidentally slamming it into the edge of my bed. GUESS WHAT I JUST DID?! Thank the lord it appears not to be broken again, but OUCH. And that's gonna be another nasty bruise. I am such an idiot! 🤣😫😭

I just saw a city vehicle that was a salter/snowplow drive up and down my street. In all my years of living here I have never once seen that!! The street is covered in snow and ice, but that should definitely help

I really appreciate it that my workplace notifies us super early when the office is closed due to the weather. I wouldn’t have gone in today anyway, but now I can enjoy a relaxing morning and just WFH in my PJ’s. 😁
