It took about three and a half years for this special to reach the US, and it turned out to be perhaps the messiest localization job in all of Pokémon. It's a shame, because the original version's really good.
Today is the 24th anniversary of The Legend of Thunder!, first premiered in Japan on December 30, 2001!

This made-for-TV movie follows Jimmy, Marina, and Vincent in their attempts to prevent Team Rocket from capturing Raikou.

It's long past time to leave the Nazi bar, and you'll have a much better time here. I updated this guide due to the influx of users fleeing Grok's new AI bullshit. Share widely for all the newcomers!

I got Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 for super-cheap in Steam's winter sale. Say what you will of those games, but I enjoy 'em enough, and my old PS3 won't work forever.

Sadly, these PC ports are... pretty bad. They're not unsalvageable, but they'll definitely be modding projects on my Steam Deck.

This little game is way better than it has any right to be (ESPECIALLY the soundtrack, holy crap), and the Japan-only sequel is even better!
Today is the 27th anniversary of Pokémon Trading Card Game, first released in Japan for the Game Boy Color on December 18, 1998!

The player must defeat the eight Club Masters, four Grand Masters, and the Champion.

Welp, Firefox is about to be flushed down the AI toilet, so I'm gonna have to flush it down the "uninstall" toilet. I hope I can find a decent non-Chromium browser to replace it with.

Speaking of AI, I'm deeply disappointed in Larian Studios too.

Bandai Namco's big Steam sale gave me a reminder of why I tend to be leery towards Bandai Namco.

I just checked out Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival. On one hand, it seems like a genuinely fun rhythm game.

On the other hand... holy fucking SHIT, that DLC.

I heard The Game Advertisements™ ended with a thud of a game reveal, and upon looking at the game, Highguard, I instantly thought... this is gonna be another Concord, isn't it?

Seriously, why do they keep pumping out live-service hero shooters when they keep flopping and closing left and right?

I've got Skyrim on my Steam Deck. It's about 15 GB, runs at 60 FPS no problem, and feels nice and responsive.

Meanwhile, the Switch 2 port is more than triple the size (~53 GB), capped at 30 FPS, and has a quarter-second of input delay? What the fuck, Bethesda?

I don’t think any of you all understand how weird this is to see for millennial/gen x that grew up in the 90’s where ALL anime was seen as really weird and cringe from mainstream

If you know Xenoblade 3, you won't be surprised to find that I started my stream by entering Erythia Sea, and after nearly 6 hours, all I did was lightly explore the perimeter.
Holy shit.

The story and soundtrack in this one are more than worthy to stand tall with the rest of the series. It's just a shame that so many dungeons have similar Pokémon in them and there's basically no postgame.
Today is the 13th anniversary of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, first released in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS on November 23, 2012

It is the first Pokémon Mystery Dungeon title on the 3DS.

Can't believe it's this old already. -_-'

This is my personal favorite handheld console of them all, and that's coming from someone who started with the Game Boy Color. And I'll be honest, it's because of nostalgia goggles: Wi-Fi battles in Pokémon was really THAT amazing to me.
The Nintendo DS first released in North America 21 years ago today!

Home to many popular Pokémon titles, the DS featured a touch-sensitive second screen and wireless capabilities over the Game Boy consoles.

It's a damn shame that Nintendo lost the plot on marketing the Wii U and doomed it to commercial failure. The Switch literally outsold it in less than a year and has now outsold it ten times over.

At least it did better than the Virtual Boy...? Well, it was less hostile to human eyeballs, at least.

Successor to the Wii, with full backwards compatibility, it was the first Nintendo console to support HD graphics.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon turns 20 years old today!

A series that has touched mine, and many others lives.

When Red & Blue Rescue Team came out, it was apparently a major reason why Chunsoft at the time didn't go financially under.

I heard the first two Dragon Quest games got HD-2D remakes, and that inspired me to check out Dragon Quest as it was first released on the Famicom.

And... wow, this game is PRIMITIVE. Character sprites only face one direction, and short of moving around, you have to do EVERYTHING from the menu.

Been a while since I said this, so I'll just say it because it warrants saying even without any contrived preamble:

I fuckin' love my Steam Deck.

So Pokopia is gonna go for $70 for no good reason, and the physical version won't even be a physical version because it's a Game Key Card (AKA e-waste).

Hurts my soul to see what's being done to Pokémon these days.
