Correlation ≠ causation. I don’t know why this still requires pointing out.
For example, a reported death from cancer, or a car accident, or kidney failure occurring after vaccination is flagged in VAERS as a “death after vaccination”. The report doesn’t prove the vaccine caused the death. It is flagging something to investigate further.
