@antoinettelattouf.bsky.social following with much support (honestly this is ridiculous and glad you're holding firm- your social media efforts were absolutely facts and a matter of fact) but also to say your outfits are SLAYING.

*guffaws in Gen-X* at "millennial retirement home"
lmao no, TikTok users are not moving to Bluesky. They would literally rather learn Mandarin than learn how to read a feed of text posts. This is a millennial retirement home.

okay. I brought back french butter from Paris. I have chocolate cocao nib butter, Madagascan vanilla butter, citrus butter and normal salt. Any fantastic suggestions on how to use them most welcome!

These extraordinary photos of the LA fires have been shared widely on social media, often without crediting the photographer.

These are all the work of Ethan Swope, an LA-based photojournalist working for AP.

Thoughts are with everyone in LA, especially as i live in a fire prone area. Have your go-box ready- everything charged, all important documents , cash, spare pet leads & pet food/water bowls, bottled water, masks if you have them, googles or wrap around sunnies. Grab pure wool blankets/clothes too-

Off to Paris tomorrow for *one* night of child-free travel for the year.

Someone shared this with me, and I think it's beautiful. That's what I wish for everyone I love and appreciate in this New Year 2025, that your life is filled with an abundance of real luxuries. ❤️

Freelancing on holidays consists of moving: from the table so everyone can have their new years day lunch, to the room upstairs which i then have to vacate for the baby's nap, to the cold stairwell that I then have to jump up and down from each time someone wants to alight the stairs.

Being in Europe means all Australia deadlines lurch forward 12 hours into this time zone, resulting in panic.

oh. I have three deadlines to hit this week. Where did 2025 come from?
January 1, 2025 at 7:33 AM
Saw a post that said "2024 cleared the path, 2025 claims the magic". I'd like to have that level of optimism this morning, but I'm just kinda grateful we've turned a fresh corner into a new year. Starting quietly and softly.

I'm trying to muster up some energy to review my 2024. Instead, I'm going to head to bed early and usher in the new year with a softly-softly, quietly-quietly approach. I'm beat.

Yup. Twelve weeks in hospital and I had to be like a hawk. Doctors do not like it when you call them on their bs bluffs. Education will literally save your life- or in my case, my two-year-olds. Read. Learn. Search. Question. Advocate.

Two-year-old refused to wear mittens today. 10 minutes into our bike ride in 0-degree fog, guess who was wearing mittens? #wonthisround

Experiencing the worst jetlag I've ever had- mainly triggered by the kids waking all hours, full of Christmas sugar, adrenaline and excitement. Pretty sure my blood is currently made up of 5% coffee.

Christmas is really hard.

In other news, apart from going hungry, i'll be travelling during a peak period with two kids aged 8 and 2. The two year old is peak two: bites, tantrums, etc. Should be fun!
