One thing I think a lot of regular people saw right through was this double standard - where Trump is fascist, dangerous, and a threat to Democracy™️ but also that the US needs a strong Republican party and that we must preserve the decorum and politeness with them at all costs
Call me crazy but I don't think these people have our best interests at heart.
