The book I'm writing exists in a society where everything is even more pointlessly gendered than our own, so I wanted to make up a title for a woman doctor, as a commentary. Then I found out "doctress" is a real word and I hate everything.

this sort of irony that occurs where the "anime femboy" archetype is a legibility lens on youth transfemininity filtered by heterosexual consumption (the -boy as much as in tomboy; subsumption to feminization), but feminine men are in fact prolific they're just in like, shoujosei, yaoi, danmei, etc.

AI student writing is such a pain to deal with. Half my class writes in the same AI voice, then denies it when I call them out on it. I don't do this job to be the AI police, and I know it's a symptom of the degradation of education in general rather than the cause, but it's still so frustrating.

Whole ass nation states are attempting to confine trans people to the home—preventing us from using the toilet, playing sports or accessing medical care without exposure to violence—on the basis that “changing your sex is impossible” so if you’re saying that to trans people too, meet your allies.

Now that my thesis is finally done with, I have 3 short stories I want to refine and hopefully find homes for in a lit mag somewhere.
I've also started working on a long term project that may be a Fire Emblem inspired video game. Working on my writing and coding will make this a busy year!
