It’s worth remembering that Germany has refused to send Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine for more than a year. Europe actually needs to do stuff, not just jabber.
Europe needs to back Ukraine with everything then freeze Trump out. Make him absolutely unimportant

Not enjoying this new presidency, but there are some stinky ends on the USAID money flows. That was our tax money to aid those less well off in this world. Did much of this money leave the country and it’s top income bracket?
Rally for USAID right now

Putin is correct, sadly.
"Politically trivial" - that's how Putin calls political leaders of today's Europe.
He says that today's Europe doesn't have politicians that would have the courage to fight and make their opinion a reality.

I think he's very wrong. And he will see that soon. #Europe will wake up.

Team Blue love distractions. It allows us not to focus on what we need to focus on in the lead up to 2026 and 2028.
So the Dems are aligned in using the Hegspeth allegations to oppose him. Dumb.
The man is not qualified for the job. That is all that matters. He has never managed more than 100 people. He won't be the actual one running DOD because he has no clue how.

And this is what the Dems focus on ?

Team Blue getting distracted once again. There will be mountains of this sort of thing to keep Team Blue’s eye off the ball over the next 4 years.
This is perfect explanation

This is what Trump is on about. Does not want to see Europe split off one by one to China. The Spanish should speak to their Germans and see how the China relationship worked out for them.

I had an afternoon nap and woke up to see if this had in fact been part of the dream where Winona Ryder had proposed marriage to me. Alas not. And no proposal either. A Gin & Tonic calls to me.

How to make cash vis a vis future decisions without taking "bribes":
start a meme coin which donors can pump
start a foundation - take donations
have a family member create and sell art

Too hard? Then just "make trades on inside information received as a federal politician".

Don't forget that there are a large number of people, possibly a significant percentage this site's users, who would like to destroy that film.
I finally watched Gone with the Wind and that is the best most deranged movie I’ve ever seen in my life. I want to die it’s so horrible and good

Please Team Blue, stop all the wallowing. Trump will be a disaster = generational Blue opportunity. 2026 then 2028.

The other thing we can celebrate tomorrow is Davos. The world’s super rich and upper echelons of the PMC getting together to decide how to carve up the turkey … uhh I mean solve the world’s problems.

AI in all industries is about increasing the business owners’ margins through elimination of human labor. Funders will demand it.
As far as I'm concerned, if keeping your vision for your film under budget requires A.I., you're admitting to the world that you suck at creative problem-solving.

A lot of people running little e-commerce operations right now are learning the lesson of basing your business on somebody else’s platform. #optionality

Bosses are nice and cuddly during labor shortages. Like “male feminists”, treat the “enlightened boss” with extreme cynicism.
Employee engagement apps, once a booming enterprise trend, now reflect a shift toward dismissive attitudes, with leaders responding to queries with “because I said so.”

Social, political, and economic life in the U.S. is increasingly shaped by a backlash from the powerful against recent progress.
JPMorgan Disables Internal Comments After Employee Backlash Over RTO Policy
The policy change, which will impact approximately 300,000 JPMorgan employees, highlights the ongoing tension between corporate leadership and worker preferences in the post-pandemic era.

Citizens United = Billionaires United. This was a disaster decision. As its impact was in third or fourth order consequences, little attention paid to it. This allowed billionaires to buy democracy. And don’t kid yourself that it is just GOP.
Ever since the disastrous Citizens United ruling, outside spending on federal elections has skyrocketed.

Big money corrupts our politics and erodes our democracy — creating a vicious cycle that funnels more wealth and power to those at the top.

This ain’t gonna stick.
I’m glad to hear about Israel and Hamas approving a six-week ceasefire starting Sunday, January 21, 2025. The agreement includes releasing 33 Israeli hostages and all Palestinian women and minors under 19 in Israeli jails. With over 46,000 lives lost, I hope this paves the way for lasting peace.

The health of any society can be judged by a few things. The willingness of its humans to volunteer is one of them.
Volunteers at the LA Regional Food Bank are serving as part of the California Volunteers program to distribute essential supplies to those impacted by the Los Angeles fires.

It is thanks to these extraordinary volunteers that California can continue standing strong. Thank you for your service.

Pelosi Skips Trump’s Inauguration: A Symbolic Move

Nancy Pelosi skipping Trump’s inauguration isn’t surprising. After years of clashes and Trump’s vitriol, her absence feels more honest than showing up for the spectacle.
