@rnib.bsky.social we are finding difficulties with my blind husband using Blue Sky, it doesn’t let him reply and when it does there are two reply boxes coming up. Are you having issues?

My solo stand up show in Leicester on Feb 15th has sold out. So I’ve been asked to put a 2nd date in on Feb 6th. Of course I’m aware there’s a chance that everyone who wants tickets has got them, & the ego boost from selling out is swiftly obliterated. Tickets comedy-festival.co.uk/events/david...

Community heroes... Tower Garage on Huntingtower Road in #Sheffield.

The owner regularly grits the surrounding hilly roads and pavements during inclement weather, and even did some of the front garden paths/steps today!

I mean it’s sort of amazing that the incoming US President has basically said he’s going to declare war on Denmark, annex Canada and rename bits of the globe to his liking and broadcast news is just rolling with it like he’s delivered a sombre and thoughtful policy announcement. Absolute insanity.

Hello BlueSky People. I do prefer this to the other place and I appear to be getting new followers but there also seems to be little to no interaction with my posts. Are other people finding this?

A selection of films and tv episodes that are very much my Christmas vibe I’ve been watching this year, starting with what some may describe as the pinnacle Muppet Christmas Carol. Miss Piggy as Emily Cratchett is my email icon at work and my general icon in life. 10/10 no notes #christmasfilms

Alt: miss piggy is sitting at a table with a candle in front of her. She is playing Emily Cratchett and she is not eating the food she is merely tasting, it’s a chef thing dear.

You’re not violating a reading rule if you opt not to finish a book that's not resonating with you. Life is finite and we thus have a finite number of books to read. Reading shouldn’t be a chore. You needn’t feel guilty for ensuring that your time reading is spent reading things that you love.

All I want is a cottage in the Scottish Highlands, a raging snowstorm, and Agatha Christie novel, a crackling fire, a kettle on the stove, and a basket of emotional support pastries.

What films are for you inherently Christmas, even if they aren’t technically Christmas films or set solely in winter?

My first pick is the 1994 Little Women.

1 week til my London stand up show. Book now to avoid disappointment; not necessarily yours, but mine. It'd be lovely to sell some more tickets, otherwise I may be forced to engage in a ridiculous PR stunt, like falling off a building, or even worse, appearing on GB News. tinyurl.com/4yz78pjs
