Mighty Nein episode 1 is very good! I love how they're not overloading us with all the characters at once! Also they made Beau very hot and I am very gay 🥵 My only quibble (and it is just me having sound designer brain) is the pitch shifting could have been done a little more elegantly.

The best way journalists can support indie games is to cover more than whatever the current indie hits/darlings of the moment are. Games like Hades, Blue Prince, and Silksong do not need help with visibility, but discoverability is the biggest challenge facing many indie devs today.

Sorry to dwell on this and to be a little vain about it, but the fact that this is what a person hired at a AAA studio not only wrote, but is what remained in the game all the way to beta, is insane. I don't think people realize an actual writer can improv in 2 minutes something better than this.

I try not to be rude about the competition for games I voice a character in, but as a writer who has applied there for 10+ years and never even gotten an interview...
Does Blizzard just not hire editors? Or are the writers this... (and sorry to be so blunt) bad? Even AI doesn't do typos like this.

The anti-trans movement is from the top down is, to put it delicately, rife with nonces and child abusers, and it's exasperating how it's ignored. I'd detail some of the shit these anti-trans ideologues are involved with, but it would make me want to claw my own eyes out before I got half way done.
As all this disgusting Epstein shit starts surfacing more and more, I hope we don't lose sight of the fact that apparently every major media outlet knew everything and instead spent their time money and energy attacking the trans community.

The more I think on it, I think the final boss theme of Delubrum Reginae ("The Queen Awakens") might be the best track in all of XIV's OST. Stellar in in-game presentation, in composition, and has insanely good instrument use across how many sections? Like 5? 6?
