Neither Davis nor Foucault were interested in defining a specific horizon of total abolition, but instead a) a real and direct means to resist, avoid, repurpose, disempower the institutions and b) creating new social structures that might be more effective for certain shared goals.

Kind of unfortunate for the “tech=instrumental rationality=fascism” crowd that fascism loves holism, organicism, vitalism, all that good Völkisch stuff, and actually hates ungemütlich abstraction just like they do

im not saying there's *nothing* here but it does seem that studies like this are basically just showing that people do better with tools they know how to use than with tools they don't (yet)

simple trick to get your partner doing more than their fair share of housework: always be cleaning when they get home from work, they'll feel guilty and do more to compensate
