I have officially just come up with a genAI killer app. A program that responds to spam callers and talks to them as long as possible, spewing out made up responses and polluting their data. That way the financial incentive is not to spam call anymore.

I am proud of my spawn for pushing back any time a teacher says to use AI. Even if they worked as advertised, develop real skills, then use the shortcuts.

One thing that doing creative work teaches you is that ideas are worth nothing. Anybody can have an idea. In a writers room you have to come up with a hundred ideas a day, and most of those don’t make the page. It’s the work of making something that gives it value. The patina of humanity.
