when we fixate on who's 'allowed' to engage with queer media, we turn something meaningful into a gatekept space instead of a bridge that connects people regardless of identity or sexuality, which imo misses the point of queer storytelling: openness, connection, and exploration.
Might be controversial Idk but as someone in the LGBT+ community, I don’t understand why so many fellow queer folks sneer at hetero people for being into BL or yuri.
I don’t think you’re doing anything productive for the community when you police who can write/read what genre.
