The judge said the removals likely violated federal law and cooperative agreements requiring consultation with the city, comparing the administration’s position to Orwell’s “1984” and writing that the government couldn’t “dissemble and disassemble historical truths” simply because it has power.

No, JAG lawyers are active duty military and cannot just quit their jobs. They are obligated to fulfill the terms of their enlistment contract or else be subject to court martial and other penalties.
That’s why they brought in JAG- they can’t quit like a civilian attorney can.

The fact that Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche publicly stated that DOJ excluded all images showing “death, physical abuse, or injury” from Epstein files is almost certain proof that the images exist.
By withholding the images entirely rather than redacting minors, he is protecting the abusers.
