Tuning into the #neleg floor debate. I'm gathering that Sen Lippincott sent out a newsletter decrying DEI and asserting that the head of the FAA was hired because he was a "melanated individual." Sen Spivey (who is Black) says she's never gotten a job bc of race, but she has been fired bc of it.

1. At an announcement from the Governor of Iowa and Senator Kauth over a new trans bathroom ban, proponents of the bill held an overtly religious announcement, going as far as to say separation of church and state pisses them off.
