My assumption always is that, just as, e.g. Dan Harmon talks about how he'd occasionally write 'and then Donald Glover does something to close off the scene' that at least one of the Lord Chamberlain's Men was a really great physical comedian and that all of that stuff is, essentially, a prompt.
