The "María Clara gown," historically known as the "traje de mestiza," is one of my all-time favourite styles of formal dress. It is both a major part of formal Philippine dress for women in its own right and is also a major influence on later developments therein.

I enjoyed this "Voynich manuscript" style from yesterday – it reminds me of an earlier "Gnostic" style, just with more of an Art Brut aesthetic due to the weirdness of the original.
