214 House Democrats have signed the discharge petition to extend the ACA tax credits. We only need 4 Republicans to sign.

I appreciate the contempt my crows have for leaves.

You can tell it isn’t just ‘I’m gonna move you so I can see what is underneath’ but full on ‘FUCK YOU LEAF’.

And as a leaf raker I get that.

House Dems need to squeeze every Republican in a Trump +7 or less to switch parties.

To recap this week:
•Trump fires 8 immigration judges
•DHS tweets "remigration now,"—an actual Nazi policy
•DHS defies court order & deports a 19-year-old college student
•Trump regime removes report on Missing & Murdered Indigenous women, calling it "DEI"

This is an overt policy of white supremacy

So we’ve got the ballroom. And the Presidential golf course at Andrews AFB, the American Arc de Triomphe he wants to build in DC and now Dulles.

Grandpa is so checked out of the job and just wants to coast and play with his models.
Trump: "We're also going to rebuild Dulles airport, because it's not a good airport"

My wife has been HIV+ for 34 years. She’s alive today b/c work of activists who destigmatized the virus, pushed medical science to adapt & find ways to treat it, & advocated for gov health programs that helped fund her care. The current U.S. regime may want to go back in time, but we won’t let them.

@timmiller.bsky.social I have nothing against Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxembourg.

But the Benelux countries seriously have a larger GDP than Russia.

What they also have are anti corruption laws and so Trump and co are focusing on Russia.

IT IS A POOR FUCKING COUNTRY!

There needs to be consequences for publishing lies.

1) Bruce Harrell is mayor. Why is this article framing a problem as the responsibility of the mayor-elect, rather than the existing mayor?!

2) Wilson did not promise to "end sweeps." This is a lie. Printing lies is propaganda, not news.

News --> The commander who oversaw Pete Hegseth's alleged killing of two boat bombing survivors is now likely to come in and face questions from the House Armed Services Committee, ranking Dem Adam Smith tells me.

In this piece, I try to make sense of this horror:

Trump Boat Bombings Suddenly on Shakier Ground as Damning Info Emerges
Will Republicans give us a real investigation into Trump’s bombings, now that we just learned horrific new details about them? Or are they seriously going to fall on their swords for Pete Hegseth?

The question from @aselrod.bsky.social:

This is a Bill Simmons game, but you’re stranded on a desert island. You can only have one actor’s filmography. You get it all, including cameos. But just the one performer.

Me: I mean…
There are better serious answers but you could do a lot worse than John Ratzenberger who gives you nearly every Pixar movie, 250+ episodes of Cheers, and for the hell of it, The Empire Strikes Back and Gandhi

What’s the quote? Don’t pick a fight with someone who buys ink by the barrel?
The AP didn’t used to be known for saucy headlines, but that whole Gulf of Mexico thing must have unleashed their AhFuckIt gene.

There are specific reasons Trumpists want war on Venezuela, but there‘s a generic one: they crave power to make war on anyone, any time, for completely fabricated reasons, and then to use the guise of war to increase violence and repression everywhere, including home.

They are lawless bestial scum.

Have you ever seen a bike lane sweeper - pulled behind a bike?

Volunteers in Kirkland have a new tool that attaches to the back of an e-bike. It's good for protected bike lanes, sidewalks, and narrow trails.

But now you can buy it for $4.99 or rent for $3.99.

Y’all all welcome.
