The questionnaire handed around with "correct" answers filled in struck me in this - where I live, the state-funded trans health care is not unlike that. notoriously cisnormative and invasive in their questioning, impossible to get help if you show a hint of NBness. ig the biggest difference -
being trans in the 80s was a very, very underground thing. If you were found out, you were basically left for dead. And support groups had to be very, very discreet.

big man (little cat) is in surgery rn - he has an intussusception, which I didn't even know could happen tbh. hopefully it's an easy surgery but it could turn complicated. feels weird being at work keeping up a customer service smile while waiting for a call from the vet about it
