IMO a lot of the problem with AI in therapy comes from the view of therapy as mechanical rather than relational (e.g. CBT). You wouldn't ever plausibly think that AI could be useful in therapy unless you thought a meaningful ongoing therapeutic relationship with another human being was unimportant.
I’m sure it’s just coincidence, but it really seems like once a publication partners with an ai company, they start featuring a lot more stories like this.
AI for therapy? Some therapists are fine with it — and use it themselves.
As scrutiny over AI therapy grows, licensed therapists are split on whether it’s okay to talk to chatbots about mental health.

Celebrating love, diversity, inclusion, & self expression.
Its beautiful and i love it but it makes me sad to live in a world where you have to be brave to be who you are. 2025 has brought so much fear and horror. Pride reminds me to hold on to hope. This is what can be.

I’ve interviewed a lot of victims stayed in an abusive relationship because they worried their loved ones would judge them for not leaving sooner. They needed support and they knew they would get ridicule instead.
