Algorithm picked up people watching Spinister's video for his connection to Carnivac via Mayhem?

Ah interesting, they really are "a random selection" then? (Or at least, more than one possible set.) Or is it a fixed set drawn from the Defender series, but in a random order?

I prefer 'opportunistic hypocrisy', but tomayto tomahto.

I'd believe that, especially since this Nickel just looks... unfinished, with plastic colour and paint apps that don't really fit the style of the figure she's paired with imo.

Wish I could help! Seems like there should be something that could be done with blur / erosion over the alpha channel followed by translate & mix, but I'm very much a layman.

If you ever get to the point of writing it up, I'd love to read it!

Not as straightforward as an inner shadow on the silhouette, set to directly vertical and adding a light blue colour over the ship?

I love the look you've achieved with this shader btw - not usually a fan of 3D-to-2D but this looks great. Have you written about it in more detail anywhere?

"My child was perfect and has been replaced by a changeling baby," but in the year 2025.
some significant part of this is just catch-all fear for “this is not the child I ordered” I think

Thing is, "preema" is the normal Latin pronunciation in e.g. prima facie. It's just in TF that we expect "pryma" by analogy with "Prime".

But yeah, it should obviously be "pryma" and anything else just sounds weird.

I'll bite on Soundwave if he's still going?

Yeah. I haven't quite found the way to express it yet, but I see the trend towards surface-level interpretation alone, and the expectation that the surface support the reader's worldview.

"The lead char must be the Good Guy and only make correct choices, or I can't relate to this." It's childish.

Can't decide if it's refusal of / blindness to introspection, or a literacy issue in that they fundamentally don't get stories and see them like some kind of game level to be 'solved' or 'won'.

"If <char> just did THIS instead, the conflict would be over / never arise! BAD WRITING!"

It seems to be everywhere right now, this idea that a lead character must always be a Perfect Flawless Hero who acts exactly as the viewer - with perfect knowledge and time to think about it - thinks they should, otherwise the writing is Bad. Like they can't/won't identify with a flawed character.

One voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, the other by Ashly Burch.

I understood that as Pine finally putting his daughter first by saving the woman who, here and now, was effectively the only mother she'd ever known - she was still a baby when her mom was killed, and Holga raised her. I can see how you get to that reading though.

Skin tone too - very similar to the Exorcists

Hmm, did you by any chance just watch a YT video on this topic? Because I did, and was thinking of your Blade Runner talk throughout. :)

NGL, I've been enjoying the remake but dreading This Moment. Here's hoping they bury him in a box in his first episode and don't let him escape this time. 🤞
