Unsolicited podcast recommendation into the void: If you liked that Ravel's Bolero episode of Radiolab, you'll love Unexplainable's episode "Composing chaos" about the song "In C"

Foster report, day 27

Batboy continues to spend most of his day in his hidey hole, and takes his meals in the foyer, as seen here. He's started bringing soft toys inside the boxes; tonight I'll add more and bigger stuffies to his room.

hi, cis folks! meet HB28. it's a sports ban on trans athletes. but actually, it's the first step to something much worse—see below.

45 sec call scripts for democrats & republicans in congress follow. if you've been saying you'd stand with trans people, now's the time.🧵

Sometime around 2010/11, I followed the sound of music from a neighborhood festival in Raleigh into someone's backyard and got to see Katherine Whalen play a few of her songs. It was magical ✨

I still think about this a lot:

There was an article about Lorrie Moore in the Sep/Oct 2009 issue of Poets & Writers magazine (@pw.org?) but in the headline they spelled her name 'Lorrie Morrie'.

I remember clapping my hand to my mouth when I saw it and still wonder how it happened.

I hope I live long enough in this dumdum world to see every uncanny brain diddle that Yorgos Lanthimos and Ari Aster put into it

I've just started my woodworking phase and I keep getting bamboozled by lumber measurements.

This dumby really expected two 12 inch boards to be the same width as one 24 inch board 🤡 👎
