Anytime I see a really long list of updates for my phone it makes me think that there's either a new OS or a security vulnerability that's about to release.

I think that if there's a fine for an autonomous vehicle it should be multiplied by the number of vehicles the company has.
An incident as related by a student:

I called Waymo support because the car was on the Muni tracks after getting clipped after trying to outrun a train and wouldn't move. I asked if there was anything I could do to move the car. They said no but would "push some code real quick".

Today I said I found the next book I want, and immediately I heard my boss say "Oh no!" That's the kind of (nonfiction) book reputation I want.

I think paper towels should be sold based on how many grams of water 1 sheet can absorb.

I got to do some PCB surgery today to add some filtering; unfortunately it didn't fix my problem, so I'll go back for more troubleshooting tomorrow.

They arrived.

I'm general, the messier a burger or burrito is, the better it tastes. Therefore I have two pieces of good news to report. My Longbard's burrito was delicious and I only had 2 drops of sauce on the floor. I also have 1 piece of bad news: I spilled sauce all over the crotch and both legs of my jeans.

I never knew I wanted some ohmslaw until today!
The traditional EE's favourite side, a fresh-made ohmslaw.

Today in aircraft troubleshooting I got to ask if a fairy was tossing tiny chunks of TNT into an engine. Luckily, that was not the case.

The ice maker in my Samsung fridge kept icing over, so this weekend I defrosted it and sealed all the cracks with RTV. Effectivity remains to be seen, it usually takes a couple of months to freeze over.

Finally, a post from @righto.com where the feature sizes are at least close to what I, a PCB designer, can comprehend. Like all his posts, it's a great explanation of a complicated topic.
Intel's 386 processor was popular in late 1980s microcomputers. From the outside, the 386 chip is a boring ceramic square. But I obtained a 3-dimensional CT X-ray scan from Lumafield, revealing six layers of complex wiring hidden inside the ceramic package. Let's take a closer look... 1/N

Dear Engineers,
If you think your job has anything to do with your specialization, you're wrong. Your job is to document your work, follow and improve processes, and communicate with everyone and every time.

In the past week I've had 3 phone calls and 6 text message threads totally probably 14 texts.
I don't understand how some people can have so much communication go through their phone, I would be overwhelmed.
