I hope the majority realizes you can't win over the right wing with civility or the old ways. Doesn't work. Its a dangerous, violent, hypocritical cult without shame.

Most of the internet used to be like this. This is actually the default, it took companies enclosing the internet and adding weird, soul-killing incentives to make people behave the way they do now. In a way, there is truly nothing special about Wikipedia except that it survived longer.

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

Certain marketing, menu, and packaging language needs to be banished: (1) "to perfection" as in "broiled to perfection." That's whatever the cook decides it means. (2) "creamery butter"...as though there's another kind. (3) "farm fresh eggs" ...it's a corporate operation, not three hens in a barn.

Good day to remember that a US President has no inherent power over tariffs whatsoever. It’s not like war powers or pardons. It’s entirely delegated by Congress to deal with emergencies. GOP Congress cld modify that law tonight and bring this to a screeching halt.

Since the president has signed an EO making English the official language of the United States, here is the first non-English copy of the Declaration of Independence, printed in German just days after July 4, 1776. We have always been multilingual.
