What a great and exhausting visit. Bright minds, concluding that no technological progress has ever been immune to misuse, and questioning how, why, and what we might do about it in the face of oncoming fascist control of science, research funding, and academia.
The Decency Project ends its 10-day visit to the Colorado School of Mines. Over 200 young scientists questioned how to recognize those who might profit from their disregard for the harm they cause, and what any individual might be able to do, to scrape just a little off the shame of that disregard.

Chuck Schumer, you've been an empty suit for your entire career. Especially when it matters.

And you thought Susan Collins was the only one capable of performing dramatic theater! Look at little Josh run...
Sen. Josh Hawley rebukes Vance and allies for suggesting that court orders should be disobeyed. Great to see a GOP senator speaking out against this anti-American idea.

Some of you have inquired over on my Substack where you can find a list of all (organized in useful, searchable ways) the litigation over the Administration’s executive orders and other actions, since January 20,2025. A great tracker is at Just Security.
