This is an intrusive and authoritarian scheme that will only increase mass surveillance and allow the government to target marginalised communities.

No money to support vital services, but Labour can find hundreds of millions for this, which appeared nowhere in their manifesto.

Scotland's richest 2% now have more wealth than half the population combined.

At today's #FMQs we asked the First Minister why shooting estates owned by billionaires still pay no business rates.

We’re losing millions of pounds that could go towards our schools, libraries, and hospitals.

Just 5 months before the 2024 election, I challenged Labour on BBC Question Time, to clearly commit that an incoming Labour government would recognise Palestine.

No caveats, no conditions, Ian Murray simply said yes.

He's now been in the cabinet for over a year, and it still hasn't happened.

He can stand up for democracy and human rights.

Or he can continue to bow down before Trump's destructive politics of hate, division and criminality.

He can't do both.

The overwhelming majority of the UK supports a wealth tax on the super-rich.

We're one of the wealthiest countries in history, but that wealth is concentrated in the hands of a few.

A wealth tax would allow real investment in our public services, infrastructure and environment.

Something to think about on this #WorldEnvironmentDay
The Scottish Government must recommit to action on climate and nature.

Recently we've seen Galloway National Park dropped, Flamingo Land given the go ahead at Loch Lomond, and the heating bill watered down.

It's not enough to talk a good game, we only have one planet, we need to look after it.

🚨BREAKING

The Scottish Government has announced it's cancelling Scotland's new National Park in Galloway.

This is devastating news for the local community and nature, slamming the door on the new investment and powers it would have brought.

A betrayal of people and planet.

155,000 of you objected.

It's opposed by the National Trust for Scotland, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, and the National Park it to be built in.

The Scottish Government has a choice: save Loch Lomond, or cave to developers looking to exploit it for a quick profit.

This would be a disaster for Scotland's nature, wildlife and local communities.

Our two existing National Parks have shown just how valuable the status can be, bringing huge benefits and investment to the local environment, wildlife, economy and community.

There must be no delay.

Net zero is booming in Scotland.

Having grown 20% since 2022, it's now providing over 100,000 jobs and makes up nearly 5% of the economy. All while helping us lower climate emissions.

Net zero's not just environmentally necessary, it represents a huge economic opportunity.

Today's report is clear that we can still meet our 2045 net zero targets. But with the SNP backtracking on climate action, we've fallen years behind.

We need investment in reliable public transport, warmer, better insulated homes, and our iconic landscapes and biodiversity.

There was no need for the Scottish Government to switch from annual targets to carbon budgets.

The original 2030 target could & should have been met.

The problem was not the targets – it was the lack of action to meet them.
