Amen.
Imagine being rich enough to do anything you want and choosing to take food and medicine from starving children to give yourself even more money.

I think the point being made in the Liberal YouTube video is partly causing the change in the polling numbers...

Choose 20 films that have stayed with you or influenced you.

One film per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations, no reviews, just movie posters.

The light is coming back.

Winter started 46 days ago, the darkest day of the year.

Spring is 43 days away.

December 21 had 8:48:35 of light.

Today we will have 10:01:09 of light.

We gained 1:12:34 of light. We over halfway through winter.

Yes. I think this is the much bigger problem. The US as unreliable ally.
The thing I keep coming back to is that even if the US gets a normal President again, we can't make a lasting deal with them, maybe ever again. They're always a maximum of 4 years away from blowing up any deal.

As the US becomes increasingly bizarre and weird Canadians can choose to remain vulnerable to this declining empire's convulsions

or we can try and carve out some democratic choice by diversifying the economy away from climate destroying resources and building up domestic economic capabilities.

Here's a fact most Americans don't know:
The Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) is the largest purchaser of wine by dollar value in the world.
The LCBO has shut the flow of all American beer, wine, spirits.
We will drink "Freedom wines" from our allies and beer from our communities.

“In 2024, USCBP seized 21,148 pounds of fentanyl at the southwest border, mostly smuggled from Mexico. In contrast, only 43 pounds were intercepted at the northern border. This means that less than 1% of all fentanyl seizures occurred at the U.S.-Canada border”

Tariff On Canada Not Justified By U.S. Immigration And Drug Claims
Evidence suggests that the justification for a 25 percent import tariff on Canadian goods and services does not hold up to scrutiny. Here is why.

I don't know how much illegal fentanyl flows south across the border, but I do know that however much it is it pales in comparison to the number of illegal guns flowing north across the border.

Preventing the marginalized from being seen is not neutrality. This is Orwellian double speak.

Watching the world move backwards is a unsettling and now daily occurrence.

A listener is reporting multiple vehicles off the road on Highwa 101 between exits 3 and 4 (Mt Uniake/Ellerhouse)

Police are on the scene - and apparently it's quite icy on that stretch.

You might want to avoid that area, or be ready to slow down in the area #NSTraffic

This is unfortunate news. The effort to bring or keep prices down doesn't account for the low-price options being bought up by the "Big Three"

On Halifax Water, could it be that we're all becoming Homers [*Simpson]?

The machines look after things, we watch the machines but really aren't doing anything anymore. It makes it easy to miss five phone calls to avoid inconveniencing and potentially harming thousands of people.

I am surviving the boil water order.
My cat, however, is not happy. She does not get her few minutes of running water in the morning.

Messin' with me is one thing, messin' with the cat ...
