A 25-year-old DOGE bro at the CFPB held $715,000 in stocks that ethics lawyers told him he wasn’t allowed to own while working there — then DOGE fired those ethics lawyers.

This is corruption.
Always call it out.

If you were looking to combat transnational crime, especially drug cartels, this is the exact office you would NOT shut down. This move by Trump's DOJ undermines any argument they want to prosecute international cartels, human traffickers, and gang members such as MS-13.

UPDATE: It happened. In an 11:15 meeting, employees were told that the office has been eliminated and their positions will be terminated.
SCOOP: sources tell me that the State Dept plans to eliminate its only office to counter foreign disinformation, as soon as today, delivering a win to foreign governments like Russia, Iran, and China—and the office's mostly conservative critics.

Judge Boasberg shows some teeth against the administration for the wrongfully imprisoned guys in El Salvador:
BUT: if the government refuses, then Boasberg is bringing out the big guns. The government MUST identify who ordered the noncompliance. Once identified, Boasberg will seek to have them prosecuted for contempt of court.

If DOJ refuses to prosecute, he says he will appoint a special prosecutor!

Important postscript: today's order does NOT cover Kilmar Abrego, who was deported (unlawfully) not under the Alien Enemies Act but pursuant to a final order of removal.

But it could provide some possible way for people like Andry to challenge their removal and seek release.
It's now been over a month since Trump sent innocent man Andry Hernández to one of the world's worst prisons because of "Mom" and "Dad" tattoos. Like the others, he is being imprisoned with no contact with the outside world.

Don't let him be forgotten.

The amount of ignorance about US history you would have to possess to make a statement like this with a straight face is staggering. But it’s no surprise.
Trump: "You know, our country was the strongest, believe it or not, from 1870 to 1913. You know why? It was all tariff based. We had no income tax." (This is nonsense.)
