Married to my love. Trans rights are human rights! Love our kids, pets, old houses, and demolition. Known for dinner, sewing, gardening, occasionally knitting but always sarcasm and sass.
Quiet morning knitting up my first pair of Sailor Slippers. I was up early because the dog jumped out of bed very early due to thunder snow. Poor dude can’t catch a break with weather. It looks like we got 8-10” here and it’s a very wet snow. #knitting

I finished the green paint on the exterior walls. Tomorrow it’s supposed to snow 6 inches and then the temperatures plummet and we have no wall insulation so the paint will freeze if I paint at that temperature. Interior storm windows building continues tomorrow. #oldhouselove

Ok folks 9 days after finishing painting the living room and I have most of the use of my hand back. It’s still tender in the palm when I apply pressure like when cutting out two layer of thick canvas fabric (did that yesterday) but should be good to paint again today. 😜

It’s been seven days since I injured my hand painting my living room twice and I was able to cut some fabric today and knit 2 rows of my vest. It’s slow progress and I went and bought two more gallons of paint. I need to figure out how to use a paint roller and not bruise my hand in the process.

I forgot the power of arnica. After two days of use the swelling in the palm/thumb area has gone down. I however helped my son move rooms today so I’m sure that didn’t help it. I just want to knit 😭. I spied the Sailor slippers and now I need to make them!

Day 4 of hand pain (tendinitis of the thumb mostly). I tried to cut out the paper quilt pattern pieces I need for a Looper Quilt but I couldn’t hold scissors and no one in my house was willing to cut them out for me. Sigh. Maybe tomorrow?

Day 3 of resting my hands because a marathon of wall painting caused my tendinitis to flare in a bad way. Can I cut out quilting fabric blocks? I did use a rotary cutter yesterday a little and yes it did hurt. Absolutely no knitting or painting and I still have two walls to finish. 😭

Today I am in so much pain from painting the house the last three days and all I want to do is sit and knit but my trigger thumb is acting up and I don’t want to aggravate it. Sigh.

Yup mine was set to hide. I will decide who is rude !
If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

Our Dog had his 8th birthday today and we spoiled him with a thrift store gift basket with a couple new toys.

Got back on my walking the talk and volunteered at our local food bank’s urban farm this morning. We patched up any holes in the hoop houses to ready them for winter.

NEW: After The Washington Post reported Monday on the demolition of the "East Wing facade," a new picture obtained by Law Dork that was taken on Tuesday shows that a substantial portion of the entirety of the East Wing has been demolished.

As a card carrying member of the restore all the original windows brigade, can I just say wtf are they even doing to these windows? Why didn’t they remove them first? #oldhouselove

Don't engage. Just block. They want to push their rage bait on here. Don't give them the satisfaction.

I highly recommend buying a Blu-Ray player and watch and listen to all your old stuff. It’s been fun not having Disney and Hulu.

Will Democrats Let the GOP Gut Trans Health Care?
Donald Trump and Republicans may try to ban funding to companies that perform trans health care. Some fear Democrats won't stop them.

#oldhouselove Hi! This is why you don’t want me to prime your basement windows for you. Because the next thing you know I’m pulling off aluminum siding to find the detail trim it’s hiding.

What’s this? Not a window? Shaking things up this week and throwing the last 2nd floor door on the paint stripping saw horses. There were seven doors with 100 years of paint, I’ve been working on for three years. This door had one coat on one side and I did it. Back on my window B.S. after this.
