My editor gave me a heads up that Kirkus recently gave WE LIVED ON THE HORIZON more love.
It's rare to get any mentions more than six weeks after publication, let alone months.
I'm more grateful than I can say.
I'm not at all a writer for everyone, but when people get it, they *really* get it.

I'm back from a month of novel research and hiking along Spain's Camino de Santiago and the Tour du Mont Blanc in the Alps! As a followup to June's No Failure, Only Practice on research practices, I've written a field report on what worked best for me this trip: mattbell.substack.com/p/53-traveli...
