We've got mini-hoovervilles all over this country and rather than force their developer donors to take a fucking brief haircut, the Democrats and GOP are building cop cities and doing more and more sweeps while arguing in front of SCOTUS that they can ship em all to the desert. Fascism is here NOW.
The tent encampments are the most visible symptom of the housing crisis, but there are plenty of people in appropriate housing who are just hanging on. There are folks with jobs who are just getting by and one rent increase will force them out.
