That’s the shit that got me onto Marx in the first place. A lot of his more elaborate discourse about dialectical materialism can feel overly academic/theoretical, but the basic premise of “workers should get to enjoy the fruits of their labor, rather than being parasitically drained” resonated HARD

This is “Marxist” in the most primordial sense. In his earliest writings, he emphasized how the end goal of socialism was to enable every person to experience their full humanity - their “species being” - which included far more than just full bellies. It included art, literature, and all the rest.

A while back it was exposed that "deportation" flight logs were often showing planes going out to the middle of the ocean and then turning around heading home.
