Full disclosure, I cry extremely easily, but even so, how dare the Sayonara Wild Hearts OST make me cry within 45 seconds of beginning to play it.

That game goes so hard when it comes to the perfect fusion of sound and visuals to make you have an Emotion.

I'm in several mum WhatsApp groups, and one mum just wrote a furious paragraph about their daycare giving their baby a sandwich.

She days she would never give her toddler white bread, or "even" bread, and I'm just ???

What's wrong... with bread...?

I'm going to be sad when they finish construction on the new apartment building next door to us. I enjoy seeing the giant crane silhouetted against the sunset.

We had a glass of this whiskey last night to celebrate. Really fascinating one, to me, anyway. Very light, but with a lot of complex buttery notes, and a burn that slowly builds. Faintest hint of sweetness at the very end.

Happy wedding anniversary to me for yesterday~

I lost all feeling in my toes for a week after wearing these shoes at the wedding (hard to find retro style shoes for women with wide feet ;_;) but, (probably?) worth it for one night of very fancy strutting.

So... are all of Screen Rant's articles AI generated now? I feel like over the last 24 months that site has gone from vaguely informative clickbait to outright game-of-the-month word salad.

So, I already did one re-read of this series this year, buuuuuut... I'm feeling the urge again already 👀
System Collapse, the next novel in the Murderbot Diaries, is coming out November 14 from @tordotcompub.bsky.social . It's set directly after Network Effect. Cover art is by Jaime Jones.

It turns out that a baby gently resting their head on your chest is the cure for all emotional damage, including damage inflicted from watching a Too Real episode of Bluey.

I woke up expecting to have a normal Monday but instead I have been emotionally destroyed by an episode of Bluey.

Craftsmanship is an essential delivery mechanism for good ideas to the brain. Reading poor prose is like trying to take a pain killer but every time the pill gets close to your mouth an advertisement for Clash of Kingclans 3 pops up.
Re: the endless debate on "good prose" vs "good story"

I'm not actually clear what a "good story" is with bad prose. If the storytelling is bad, how is the story good? A mere list of events isn't interesting, the story is all in the telling.

🎉 This includes the board books that I read to E (only the first time I read them) but even so, pretty stoked I've made it this far.

I had the kind of horrible nightmare where you wake up partially, and then make yourself go back to sleep, thinking, NO, I CAN FIX THIS!!

But then the nightmare just spirals further and you awake even more distraught.

Your brain just all "Nope. Not today, wise guy.Today, we suffer".

Platinum Grit is so real, and I cannot explain why without being more R18+ than I am comfortable with being publicly online, but, dang. I still think of one scene on a yearly basis and I haven't read that comic since like, 2006.

It's an extremely relatable moment with Nils, of all people.

Generations expressing mild amusement on Slack: based on zero quantitative data and massive generalisation.

Gen Z: 💀
Millennials: 👀[party parrot]
X: 😂
Boomers: 🤪

Though honestly it's more about when someone seemed to start using the internet regularly.

I can’t imagine any Bsky early adopter was cool in high school, so what kind of loser were you?
