I had the heaviest workload of any SE editor this year, while fitting in two trips to japan, so I’m excited for next (this?) year to be a bit less crazy…

also while in japan, I managed to catch the tokyo aliens cafe!! my friend and I got sho & akira’s drinks 💕 and I bought that sho mug too!
we saw a LOT of super fans there with crazy decked-out itabags which was so cool for me! I loveeee seeing tokyo aliens fans in the wild 👾

I think I can talk about this, but a couple weeks ago while I was in japan, minami and I were able to have a meeting and dinner with the author (Chu Amairo) and the editor of the otaku love connection (who is also the editor of cherry magic)!! we all had a fantastic time ✨✨ so grateful!!

I’m not going to name any names but… I have been reading through all novels by a particular author, who is always translated into english by the same translator, and even though this person is a respected literary translator, the books are full of “Eh?” which is clearly え？
like… do better!!

I’m not going to name any names but… I have been reading through all novels by a particular author, who is always translated into english by the same translator, and even though this person is a respected literary translator, the books are full of “Eh?” which is clearly え？
