I guess as someone who has listened to j-pop, anisongs, and metalcore/"screamo" for over half my life, the idea of people needing to understand lyrics to enjoy music is utterly foreign to me!

Though I do wish I had held onto those Pioneer releases for scanning at least. Each one came with a booklet and paper doll.

You're braver than me! I watched through Season 1 way back in an effort to be a "Gainax completionist" and tapped out after 1 lol. I think I saw enough haha 😆

Really the number one reason I picked this up was because Toei Spider-Man appears, is a major player in the story, gets a NEW OUTFIT, and a new (?) villain in his universe as well? I'm always ready for more of Takuya showing up in Spidey things and he was super cool here. Loved that stuff.

One of the story structure things that I actually thought was pretty neat were these dual-perspective panels that highlight the parallels between Peter and Eddie and how they both see themselves as the hero of their own story. A typical "we're not so different, you and I" but illustrated creatively

A 5-issue Spidey event that is, unsurprisingly, a creatively bankrupt excuse to smash action figures together. But you know, there's a certain pure dumb comic book simplicity in that. It's not *good* really but it is fun popcorn nonsense.
