I train UCSB students in enviro advocacy + defeating big oil. Aggressively pro accessible clean transportation. Not snacking, just sequestering carbon

This, you can make a payment on your credit card whenever you want and it will reduce your balance, you don't actually have to wait for statement close to purchase again. Obviously verify this once you make the payment, but I make mid-cycle payments all the time.

We have one that will do it if you tap the top of a closed aluminum can, even in her sleep. She keeps going until you open the can to reset her.

A guy who is now on exxons board (lol) once told me it was sequential: do well THEN do good and well, we are still waiting aren't we?

A lot of people in this thread are explaining single payer health care to people who are already pointing out that this would be single payer health care

What's heartbreaking is that because the student portion is so transient, something awesome that closed two years ago might as well have never existed as far as 50% of the pop. knows. The times a student says "we need X in this town" and I hold back yelling "YOU HAD IT AND YOU DIDN'T APPRECIATE IT"

I keep thinking that gen Z could probably learn to read via phonics BETTER than millennials, but instead they got a whole new method. In phonics, you sound out the letters and find a word you already understand. With the increase in video media, their verbal vocabularies are probably fairly good

Our last 100-year-old place was boiling in the summer evenings and freezing in the winter. I'm pretty sure it's because there was no insulation in the attic so the air would heat way up and then sink in summer, and we'd lose any heat through the ceiling/single pane windows in the winter

Sorry, not trying to be nitpicky, some people believe one of the 3 platforms restarted but that was just a highly misleading press release from Sable back in May (that has since triggered an investor lawsuit)

As someone in one of these places, tourists constantly flood our town reddit wanting a personalized guide of where the cool places are where the locals hang out. Bad tourists are those who chase some false "authentic" experience and use locals as props to prove how cool and inner-circle they are

Based on the From: Jeffrey To: Jeffrey and the reply being from Wolff it seems that Wolff was a BCC recipient, meaning Epstein emailed this to who knows who else in classic rambling boomer fwd: fwd: fwd style

it's a reference to a Johnny Cash song in which the next lyrics are "I know I had it coming, I know I can't be free." take your 72 hour ban with honor.
