I am deeply disturbed by what happened to Jose Paniagua Calderón in Vancouver, WA. His family deserves to know where he is and whether he is ok. This is insanity that the federal government is harming people like this and getting away with it.

I was reading the reasons why sportswriters chose Judge over Cal for MVP. Chandler Rome from the Astros said that Judge beat Cal in every offensive category except HRs. I guess RBIs don't count? SBs? What a joke. www.nytimes.com/athletic/679...
Why did Aaron Judge edge Cal Raleigh for AL MVP? The voters explain their choice

Cal Raleigh was robbed. The @MLB should just change the MVP award to "best batting average" award since the MVP clearly isn't about who is actually the most valuable player for the team.

THIS right here ⬇️ People forget that social programs that help folks in need are huge economic boosters. Food stamps, unemployment benefits and similar are v. smart economic investments. And the best thing is they also help people in need. Win-win!
Every $1 invested in SNAP generates $1.80 in local economic activity. Without SNAP, that will mean a loss of $15 billion to the US economy just in November alone.
Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

Breaking: Sen. Jeff Merkley spoke on the Senate floor for 22 hours and 37 minutes to denounce Trump and his agenda.

It's the fourth longest floor speech in U.S. Senate history.
Sen. Jeff Merkley has been speaking on the Senate floor since 6:20pm last night — protesting Trump and warning that "tyranny has arrived."

"Trump is shredding our Constitution. Is it okay for masked federal agents to arrest people off the street because of their skin color … Not in a free America."
