Surround yourself with friends who are doing their best, not perfect (it doesnt exist)

Cherish those who show up, try their best, and keep moving forward... that’s what real friendship is.

New card, same me.

ICYMI: I was elected to serve as Chairwoman of the Tulsa County Democratic Party. We’re playing to win in Oklahoma’s 2nd biggest county.

We’re not sitting around and waiting for anyone to fly in from D.C., the DNC, or anywhere else to save us. We got us. It’s time to work.

Private prisons are evil.
The stock price of private prison company GEO Group has more the doubled since Trump's election.

Trump has already rescinded a Biden order aimed at moving the government away from private prisons.

Pam Bondi, Trump's nominee for Attorney General, used to lobby for GEO Group.

They don’t have to dig too deep. The corruption lives on the surface in Oklahoma.
I question the Federal-level DOGE 💩, but neat that my many of my R colleagues are giddy about OK DOGE…because stuff they find will have been blessed by themselves; GOP’s had full control of OK government for over 2 decades & counting. Wonder if some of ‘em are like: “We sure we want to go digging?”🫣

my children say I was born in 19s or the 1900s & they’re not trying to be funny. tried explaining I was barely born in 1900s. it doesn’t matter.

they know I’m friends/collegial with folks in elected office/government so when they learn abt historical figures they ask if I knew them in the 19s.

as much as I recognize the world is burning (literally and figuratively), I’m truly grateful each day I wake up on the right side of the dirt.

2025 started with me contemplating my own mortality more than I ever have &, no matter what, I’m just grateful to be here to love my kids another day.

Pete Hegseth is the most unserious, unqualified nominee for SecDef and every single U.S. Senator who supports his nomination doesn’t give a shit about the security of our nation or the lives of our service members.

we need decorum lessons, y’all. 🥲

between people coughing nonstop during President Carter’s funeral and then pulling phones out as he’s brought in… y’all are disappointing.

My ongoing assumption is that the talk about territorial expansion is a shiny object to distract from the giveaways to billionaires and massive personal corruption that he's actually going to do.

when I say PR has a dark side, here is a perfect example of that. there are PR operatives in every industry who seek to destroy rather than build up.

it truly is an evil practice of our profession. unfortunately, it’s also a very lucrative practice.
Well this is horrifying. The wave of stories over the summer about Blake Lively being a horrible person were deliberately engineered.

After Blake Lively alleged sexual harassment on the set of It Ends With Us, Justin Baldoni hired Johnny Depp's PR person to smear her.

Private messages detail an alleged campaign to smear Blake Lively after she accused Justin Baldoni of misconduct on the set of “It Ends With Us.”

question abt the drones in New Jersey thing:

is this the fed’s “oh no, public scrutiny at a time when we actually messed up. Hey folks, aliens are real!” play but in a different font?
