I just filed HB 2953 to eliminate the Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit.
Why?
It costs $250M a year…taxpayer 💵 that should be going to public services like mental health & public schools, not subsidizing private schools. Call it what it is: A private school voucher!

Taking Qs from kiddos always makes my day! Visited Eisenhower Elementary to talk govt & the legislative process w/ some awesome 3rd graders. They asked about my fave bill (Play to Learn Act 💯), rep vs prez, how bills are made, & more…props to their teachers/librarians…they were well prepared! 👏 👏 👏

Y’all know I 💜 bipartisanship (it’s really the only way forward), especially to put guardrails on Trump & his Regime. Also happy to see some House Rs join all Ds to extend ACA subsidies bc of skyrocketing healthcare costs. Long road ahead, but are we turning a common sense corner, or am I naive? 🤞

I’ve been pro-law enforcement all my life. Same with our armed forces…honorable callings! But this ICE 💩? Not the same. Masks. No ID. An UNARMED woman shot & killed as she tried to drive away. The shooter wasn’t in mortal danger. This was murder & it must be prosecuted. This has to stop. NOW. 🛑

Tired of folks sending me clips of Sec. Rubio “explaining” Venezuela like it’s common sense. He’s the Regime turd polisher. Trump’ll do what he wants & Rubio polishes up his💩 & sells it as “America First.” Knowing that’s half the battle. The other half? Resist (legally) & vote ‘em out in November. 💪

As a state rep in storm, fire, flood, & drought-prone Oklahoma, gutting fed disaster staff & funding is so shortsighted. Red states like Oklahoma rely heavily on that support & I don’t see the political will to replace it. I’m waving the 🚩 up at the Cap! 🤦♂️
